Liz and I were friends in high school back in the 70's, and we reunited 8 years ago on Facebook, although neither of us remembers how we found each other. Liz has been one of my most loyal supporters and has commissioned many portraits for her friends, most of whom have lost their beloved feline companions.
Liz is a true lover of cats. She currently lives with four lovelies, and I have captured all of them on canvas. Most of her closest friends are also cat lovers and owners.
She is quirky - her furry friend picture made me really laugh at a time when I was feeling super stressed. I'm not sure how she knew that, but it really lifted my spirits.
She has worked in shelters with cats and she is currently on the team of skilled cat sitters with City Kitty in Chicago, and she is passionate about her work. She develops close bonds with both owners and their kits.
Her Facebook posts are filled with motivational quotes, devotionals, and beautiful cat art that she finds online and shares. Liz is very spiritual and we share a similar energy and purpose in life. Both full of encouragement, we remind each other of who we really are. She helps me to connect with my inner spirit and muses and together we create art that has special meaning to her friends. Most of the portraits are sent as unexpected gifts and her friends are overwhelmed by her love and generosity. Some are so touched that they pay it forward and commission portraits for their loved ones. What a heartwarming feeling it is for me to see and feel Spirit working in the lives of others.
Liz is a true empath - she deeply mourns when a friend loses a loved one, and she cries tears of joy when she sees what Spirit does with her love as expressed through my canvas.
Her mission is to share love, and she does it freely. I can't think of a more meaningful gift than a portrait of a loved one, whether living or crossed over. I have done them both, and I feel honored that she has invited me to join her on her heart-warming journey.
Thank you, my friend.
